Welcome to Foodie Social (also referred to as "Foodie"). This Privacy Policy explains how Agile Business Transitions ("we," "us," "our," or "Foodie Social") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information:
- Email address
- Password (encrypted) OR authentication through Google or Apple
- Username and display name
- Profile picture
- Bio and profile description
- Age confirmation (checkbox confirming you are over 13 years old)
User-Generated Content:
- Food photos and videos you upload
- Recipes you create and share
- Reviews, ratings, and comments
- Any other content you post or share on Foodie Social
Payment Information (when applicable):
- Payment information is collected only if you make in-app purchases or receive creator payouts
- For purchases: Payment is processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system; we do not store your credit card or payment details
- For creator payouts: You provide payout information (e.g., bank account details) to receive earnings
Communications:
- Emails or other communications you send to us through support or feedback channels
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use Foodie Social, we may automatically collect:
Device Information:
- Device type and model
- Operating system (iOS) and version
- App version
- Device identifiers (IDFA for Apple devices)
- IP address
- Timezone
- Mobile carrier and network type
Usage Information:
- Pages or screens viewed within the app
- Features and content accessed
- Time and duration of use
- Search queries within the app
- Content interactions (likes, saves, shares, follows)
Performance Data:
- Crash reports and error logs
- App performance metrics
- Diagnostic information
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do NOT collect:
- Phone numbers
- Precise GPS location data (we do not track your physical location)
- Messages or communications between users (Foodie Social does not have messaging functionality)
- Access to your contacts
- Social media profiles or data (unless you use Google or Apple sign-in for account creation only)
- Date of birth (we only collect age confirmation via checkbox)
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 Provide and Improve Foodie Social
- Create and manage your account
- Display your profile and content to other users
- Enable you to post, share, and interact with content
- Process in-app purchases
- Facilitate creator monetization and payouts
- Provide customer support
- Improve app functionality, features, and user experience
- Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs
3.2 Safety and Security
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
- Protect the safety and security of users and Foodie Social
- Investigate violations and suspicious behavior
- Respond to legal requests and prevent harm
3.3 Communications
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Send you promotional emails about new features (you can opt out)
3.4 Analytics and Research
- Analyze usage patterns to understand how users interact with Foodie Social

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
4.1 Public Information
The following information is publicly visible to other users by default:
- Your public profile (username, display name, bio, profile picture)
- Content you post (photos, videos, recipes, reviews, comments)
- Your interactions (likes, saves, followers, following)
- Ratings and reviews you post
You control what content you post and can delete your account at any time to remove public information.
4.2 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate Foodie Social, including:
- Cloud hosting providers: For storing user data and content
- Payment processors: Apple processes all in-app purchases
- APIs: Third-party APIs that allow Foodie Social to function for payments, account creation, security, and app infrastructure
- Security services: To detect fraud and protect against malicious activity
- Customer support tools: To respond to your inquiries
These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.
4.3 Legal Requirements and Safety
We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
- Enforce our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Foodie Social, our users, or the public

4.6 What We Do NOT Share
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your information with advertisers (we do not run ads)
- Share your email address or contact information with other users without your permission
5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
5.1 Access and Update Your Information
You can access and update your account information at any time by:
- Logging into your account and visiting Settings
- Editing your profile, bio, and profile picture
- Updating your email address or password
5.2 Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time by:
- Going to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Emailing us at foodie@agilebt.com
What happens when you delete your account:
- Your profile and content will be removed from public view
- A soft delete will occur, then a hard delete
- Some information may remain in backup systems temporarily for legal or security purposes
- Information shared by other users (e.g., your content they saved) may remain visible
5.3 Control Your Content
You can:
- Delete individual posts, photos, videos, or comments at any time
- Make your profile private (if this feature is available in your account settings)
- Control who can view or interact with your content
5.4 Marketing Communications Opt-Out
You can opt out of promotional emails by:
- Clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email
- Emailing us at foodie@agilebt.com
Note: You cannot opt out of service-related emails (e.g., account security alerts, Terms updates).
5.5 Data Portability
You can request a copy of your data by emailing foodie@agilebt.com. We will provide your data in a portable format within 30 days.
5.6 Do Not Track
Foodie Social does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry standard for handling such signals.
6. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Our security practices include:
Technical Safeguards:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Secure authentication mechanisms
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Administrative Safeguards:
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal information
- Employee training on data privacy and security
- Incident response procedures for data breaches
Physical Safeguards:
- Secure cloud infrastructure with reputable hosting providers
- Redundant backup systems
However, please note:
- No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure
- We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
If a data breach occurs:
- We will notify affected users as required by applicable law
- We will take steps to mitigate harm and prevent future breaches
- Notifications will be sent via email to your registered email address
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide Foodie Social and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
7.1 Account Information
- Retained while your account is active
- Upon account deletion, a soft delete occurs, then a hard delete
- Some information may be retained in backup systems temporarily
7.2 User-Generated Content
- Retained while your account is active or until you delete the content
- Deleted content is removed from public view immediately and permanently deleted from backups over time
7.3 Legal and Safety
- We may retain certain information longer if required by law or necessary for legal, safety, or security purposes
- Examples: transaction records, abuse reports, legal disputes
7.4 Anonymized Data
- We may retain aggregated, anonymized data indefinitely for analytics and research purposes
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
8.1 Age Requirements
Foodie Social requires users to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8.2 Age Verification
- During signup, we ask you to confirm you are over 13 years old via a checkbox
- If you indicate you are under 13, you will be denied access to Foodie Social
- We do not collect date of birth or require government-issued ID for age verification
8.3 Parental Notice
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at foodie@agilebt.com. We will promptly delete the account and associated information.
8.4 Teen Users (13-17)
Users aged 13-17 may use Foodie Social but:
- Must have parental permission to use the app (we rely on parents to monitor usage)
- Cannot make in-app purchases or sell content (18+ required)
- Should be supervised by parents or guardians
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
9.1 Australia-Based Operations
Foodie Social is operated by Agile Business Transitions, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Your information is primarily stored and processed in Australia.
9.2 Global Access
Foodie Social is available in many countries. If you access Foodie Social from outside Australia:
- Your data may be transferred to and processed in Australia
- Australia may have different data protection laws than your country
- By using Foodie Social, you consent to the transfer of your information to Australia
9.3 Cross-Border Transfers
We may use service providers located in other countries. When we transfer your information internationally:
- We use contractual protections to ensure data security
- We comply with applicable data protection laws
- Service providers are required to protect your information
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
Foodie Social may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites or services.
Important:
- We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites
- Third-party sites have their own privacy policies
- Clicking on external links may expose you to malware, viruses, spyware, or other malicious content
- Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit
Apple Services: In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to payment information and transactions. We do not receive or store your full payment details from Apple.
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features.
How we notify you of changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
- We will notify you via email to your registered email address for material changes
- Your continued use of Foodie Social after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
12. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS
Depending on your location, you may have specific privacy rights under local laws:
12.1 Australian Privacy Act
If you are in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Privacy Act, including:
- Right to access your personal information
- Right to correct inaccurate information
- Right to request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations)
- Right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
12.2 European Union (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

Note: We do not currently have an EU representative appointed. If you are in the European Union and have data protection concerns, please contact us directly at foodie@agilebt.com. We will appoint an EU representative if we determine we have significant EU user presence requiring one under GDPR Article 27.
12.3 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:
- Right to Know: What categories of personal information we collect about you; the categories of sources; our business or commercial purpose; the categories of third parties we share with; the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (Note: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising)
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Limit our use of your sensitive personal information (Note: We only use sensitive information for permitted purposes)
- Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA rights
How California Residents Can Exercise Rights: Email foodie@agilebt.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before processing requests and respond within 45 days (may extend up to 90 days if needed). You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
California "Shine the Light" Law: Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
